Portland-based artists Chris Johanson and Jo Jackson have transformed the room into an interactive artwork, The Paradise Library. This artwork consists of a large-scale murals painted directly on the walls and a wide selection of books from the Adobe Books in the Mission District of San Francisco. The Paradise Library encourages public interaction and ideally a feeling of community around the discussion of ideas found within the publications around them.

The Paradise Library is an ongoing partnership between Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, Le Méridien SF, and Starwood Hotels and Resorts.
