I have been working in the arts for over 12 years and have been employed by every major museum in the Bay area including SFMOMA, The De Young, YBCA, San Jose Museum of Art and The Exploratorium. After earning my BA in Art from SFSU, I sought out work in the galleries and museums as an art preparator. The variety of skills I acquired while working on diverse exhibits ranges from painting gallery walls to installing famous works of art, from managing a large crew to spear heading a traveling exhibit program. I have curated and helped to design exhibits as well as opened an eclectic art and furnishings store called 8letters with my husband Tommy Guerrero. My most recent title was Exhibitions Manager at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts. This position provided me with an amazing opportunity to validate all of my skills and knowledge. In April 2004 our son Diego was born. Since then I have been working as a freelance designer and project manager.

Design has always been an interest of mine and with my art background it seemed like my next calling. I enjoy the challenge of making an interior space flow and function more efficiently. As in art - shape, form and color play an important role in our surroundings. Embracing a more organic approach to design and to relearn how to live more simply is something everyone can benefit from. I believe strongly in reducing waste, reusing resources and recycling as much as possible. I try to instill this belief into all of my work.
